Finding the sweet spot
Here’s the tricky part: when you block the light, you lose a little bit of energy. To fix that, we bump up the wattage. A quick word on installation
If you’re putting these into a ceiling fixture, please pay attention to the gap. These lamps gethot. Really hot. If they’re tucked too tightly against the ceiling, you’re going to end up with ugly brown scorch marks or, worse, damaged materials. Give it some breathing room. Let the air move. And if your fixture is a bit cramped, just toss in a heat-reflective shield. It pushes all that warmth down toward you and keeps your ceiling cool and safe.
