Why IR actually works

No waiting around. By tweaking the shape and the power density of the emitter, we can put the heat exactly where it needs to be the second the product hits the belt. It’s a fast response. No more “one size fits all”
We don’t just slap a different wattage on a box and call it a day. We look at your conveyor width and build the footprint to match. Every food product absorbs heat differently. We tune the wavelength to your specific product so it cooks through without burning the edges. It’s the difference between “guessing” and knowing your product is perfect. You also have a choice on the build. Open-element works, but in a greasy fryer environment? You want quartz-shielded. They take a beating. They might need a little more voltage to push through that shield, but they’ll last way longer.
The honest trade-offs
Look, nothing is magic. When you crank up the heat density to shave seconds off your cycle, a few things change. First, your sensors have to be sharp. You’re dealing with rapid temperature swings now, so calibration is key. Also, keep an eye on your belt. If you push the wattage too hard to get that extra speed, make sure your conveyor material can handle the intensity without melting or degrading. The best way to handle this? Wire everything into a PID controller. It keeps your tolerances tight, hits your target internal temp quickly, and keeps the line moving without a hitch.
