Which sounds great until a heating element burns out after five years. Suddenly, you&amp;rsquo;re stuck. You either have to rip the entire chassis out of the wall or spend an afternoon soldering wires in a damp, miserable bathroom.&#xA;It&amp;rsquo;s a nightmare. So, we decided to do something different. We moved to a modular infrared setup.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The &amp;ldquo;Swap-and-Go&amp;rdquo; Approach&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;We wanted these modules to be simple drop-in replacements. Instead of hard-wiring the heating tubes directly to the circuit board, we used standard plug-and-play connectors.&#xA;If a tube goes, you just pull the old module out and slide a new one in. It takes a few minutes. You don&amp;rsquo;t have to throw away the whole unit, which saves a lot of money and frustration in the long run.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;Keeping the Water Out&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;Now, there&amp;rsquo;s always a tug-of-war between making something waterproof and making it easy to open. Usually, if it&amp;rsquo;s truly waterproof, you have to destroy the housing just to see what&amp;rsquo;s inside.&#xA;To fix that, we used compression gaskets and snap-fit housings. This keeps the moisture away from the electronics—perfect for a shower zone—but lets you get to the internals without needing a sledgehammer.&#xA;&lt;strong&gt;The Honest Trade-off&lt;/strong&gt;&#xA;I&amp;rsquo;ll be straight with you: modular designs mean more connection points. More connections mean more places where things could potentially go wrong if you&amp;rsquo;re sloppy.&#xA;The key is the &amp;ldquo;click.&amp;rdquo; You have to make sure those locking clips snap firmly into place during a swap. If they aren&amp;rsquo;t seated right, you&amp;rsquo;ll end up with power arcs and a heater that cuts in and out.&#xA;We build these modules to last about 5 to 8 years. And when the infrared emitter finally gives up the ghost? You don&amp;rsquo;t toss the heater in the trash. You just swap the module. It&amp;rsquo;s just a more practical way to handle industrial heating.&lt;/p&gt;</description>
